Used in track light
We replaced Halogen light bulbs for a stage with these. Response has been great. The LED bulbs are noticeably brighter than the 90w (1300 lumen), but not by much. These bulbs also more in the white spectrum than the upper yellow of the halogen, which has been ideal for a stage environment. Plus they keep the white at low light levels instead of turning more yellow. Dimming is quite smooth and linier, from too dim to see an effect on the stage, yet can see a glow when looking at the light, to all the way at full brightness. Only downside is the upfront cost typical of LEDs, and the possible weeks to get if Platt doesn't have them in stock already do to TCP's manufacture on demand model for this particular bulb. Weight may also be an issue for they are heavier than halogen bulbs, but most mounting brackets should not have an issue.
